Gunmen kidnap businessman and his assistant in Kwara

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a businessman, Sikiru Bosere and his assistant in Jebba community, Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State. The gunmen invaded the residence of the businessman at the Labour Camp area of Jebba in the early hours of Monday, September 25, 2023. Sikiru, who is involved in the charcoal business, was whisked away by the gunmen alongside his assistant Mr. Philemon. Philemon was later released and is currently hospitalized in a private hospital in Jebba. Spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, who confirmed the incident, said efforts are ongoing to rescue the businessman. “A case of kidnapping was received early this morning, one victim already rescued while efforts are ongoing to rescue the remaining victim and possibly arrest the kidnappers, the PPRO stated.
