APC’s Emmanuel Udende sacked by tribunal, Gabriel Suswam announced as winner of Benue Northeast senatorial district

Senator Gabriel Suswam of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been announced as winner of the February 25 election for Benue Northeast senatorial district. A National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal which sat for over three hours in Makurdi, Benue State, sacked the All Progressives Congress (APC) Emmanuel Udende from the position. The tribunal expressed satisfaction that Suswam fulfilled the requirement of the law, before entering the judgement in his favour.
